The Role of Glucose in Endotoxin Shock.

Abstract

The primary purpose of the review is to consider the present state of knowledge pretaining to the role of glucose in endotoxin shock. The report covers changing blood levels of glucose, relationship of glucose and insulin, mechanisms of hypoglycemia, and therapeutic aspects of hypertonic glucose administration.
