Mechanism for Establishing Steady Plasma Turbulence,

Abstract

A mechanism for establishing steady plasma turbulence is described. Owing to nonlinear effects, the phase velocity of the plasma wave is modified, proportional to the level of turbulent oscillations. Ion-acoustic oscillations in a strongly magnetized, collision-free plasma containing thermal electrons are considered.
