Dust Storms in the Ukraine,
Abstract
A study was made of dust storms which have taken place during the past years in the Ukraine. The number of days in the year when these storms occur, and their intensity and duration, varies considerably. The main means for combating them is to carry out extensive afforestation and maintaining the soil in a 'lumpy' condition.
