Study of the Army Publications System (STARPUBS).
Abstract
The mission of the STARPUBS Study was to provide documentation of the Army publications system for future use in developing a new system; identification of problem areas and any solutions developed prior to completion of the study. The team also began development of an overall systems redesign. A new initial distribution system has been outlined which provides for the centralized identification of user needs. Alternative systems for functional assignments among the three physical components of the Publications Directorate (the HQ and the two AG Publications Centers) were studied.
