Redundancy and Decoupling of Information in Two Person Quadratic Optimization Problems.

Abstract

The author examines a class of linear quadratic decision problems with two decision makers. In many such problems one of the decision makers ignores seemingly useful information. The purpose of the report is to study this behavior. It is done in two steps: first it is shown that any two person team or zero-sum decision problem can be decomposed into a sequence of simpler problems; second, this decomposed form of the problems is used to complete the study.
