LRAPP Vertical Array - Phase IV

Abstract

Earlier reports (Phase II and III) describe a vertical array of hydrophones that were built by Westinghouse Electric Corporation for measuring noise in the ocean at frequencies from 10 Hz to 300 Hz. The report describes modifications and tests of this equipment for a deployment that was made near Bermuda on November 12, 1974. The array is 3600 meters long and contains five hydrophones.
