Chemotherapeutic Studies on Schistosomiasis.

Abstract

The research program of the University of Brasilia and USAMRU-Brasilia is a joint undertaking to test selected chemical compounds for prophylactic and curative activity against Schistosomiasis mansoni. Presently, there are no known prophylactic drugs which can be administered to prevent personnel from acquiring schistosomiasis. This program undertakes to find some effective prophylactic drugs which will prevent schistosome infections.
