The Geomorphology and Climatology of Arid Watersheds.

Abstract

The report presents the first publication of the comprehensive collection and analysis of environmental data on the Nahal Yael Research Watershed located in the Negev just north of Elat, Israel. Factors treated are: Precipitation; streamflow; erosion; sedimentation; and the concomitant landforms and geomorphic changes in an extremely arid environment. The report also discusses: Desert rainfall, surface flow in extreme desert terrain, and quantative measurements of erosion and sedimentation processes in such environments.
