High Altitude Navigation System Study. Volume III. Passive Ranging Interferometer Sensor (PRAIS) Specification. Part I.

Abstract

This specification establishes the requirements for performance, design, test, and qualification of one mission-design-series of equipment identified as the Passive Ranging Interferometer Sensor (PARIS). This CEI is used to provide the terrestial reference essential to the High Altitude Navigation system (HANS) for precise spacecraft navigation. This CEI requires RF radiation from ground radars of known location operating in the E/F frequency band.
