Software Development for Decision Analysis

Abstract

This report summarizes the progress to date on morphology definition. It consists of three sections. Section 1 describes the research program to develop a system of computerized aids for decision analysis. Section 2 of the report deals with the fundamental components of a decision morphology, the analytical and communicative processes that are needed to analyze the broad range of decision problems. Section 3 presents an illustrative implementation of the morphology. The graphical algebraic technique described is the precursor to an automated system for decision making and is envisioned as one of its fundamental components.
