Ultraviolet and Visible Spectra of Tacot (Tetranitrodibenzo-1,3a,4,6a-Tetraazapentalene) in Various Solvents

Abstract

The ultraviolet and visible spectra of Tacot (tetranitrodibenzo-1,3a, 4,6a-tetraazapentalene) were determined in nine solvents in which the material was significantly soluble. These solvents were sulfuric acid, perchloric acid, nitric acid, glycerin, dimethylsulfoxide, ammonium hydroxide, morpholine, piperidine, triethanolamine, and N,N-dimethylformamide.
