Maintainability Engineering Design Notebook, Revision II, and Cost of Maintainability.
Abstract
This chapter contains a detailed description of the tasks required to develop a maintainability demonstration plan, with guidelines and methodology for preparing the plan, test methods that are used in maintainability demonstration tests, procedures for preparing a test plan, an example of a test plan, and an example of the documentation which requires a test plan to be prepared. Nine primary test methods, taken from MIL-STD-471 and 471A are described in this chapter. The last section (15E7) provides a simplified procedure and example of computing all the sample size and accept/reject criteria calculations for each method.
