Noise Control Methodology for Army Construction and Materials Handling Equipment.

Abstract

A pragmatic noise control methodology is presented with emphasis on techniques for reducing the noise from existing vehicles. The Caterpillar model 830MB Tractor/Scraper is used as an example to show how the vehicle operator's noise exposure can be reduced 20 dBA. An extensive bibliography on contemporary noise control literature is also included.
