Reports on Applications of ARPA Platform.

Abstract

Report of two panels convened by the Marine Physical Laboratory in 1971 for the purpose of examining in detail the prospective application of the proposed Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) stable floating platform to work in the fields of large area surveillance and ocean engineering. Several potential research programs are identified in each field and the impact of these applications on the platform design is indicated. The proposed platform will be useful in the performance of a wide variety of tasks.
