An Evaluation of the GC Optronics Holographic Interferometer Used for Testing Honeycomb Sandwich Materials.

Abstract

This research is intended to evaluate a new-generation holographic interferometer built by GC Optronics as commissioned for the Army by Natick Laboratories. The device was designed to be used for detecting subsurface defects in aluminum-skinned paper-honeycomb sandwich material used by the Armed Forces in the construction of portable shelters.
