A Computerized Prediction Model for Airborne Cargo Floor Loading Stress Based on Ground Test Facilities.

Abstract

This report describes the results of research intended to determine the ability to predict cargo loading stresses on ground facilities by an appropriate computer program. Loading data for several vehicles was collected at the U.S. Army Natick Laboratories and applied to the computer program in an attempt to duplicate the observations. Analysis was implemented through the use of the finite element method.
