Evaluation of the Effects of Engine Deterioration on Gasoline Exhaust Emissions.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design of an experiment to determine the relationship between gasoline exhaust emissions and engine deterioration. The experimental design is specifically aimed at exhaust emission trends throughout engine life. The engines used for this experiment are four 4 1/2 h.p. Wisconsin, Model MBKND, air cooled, reciprocating gasoline engines. The experimental techniques presented provide a good foundation for further research.
