Statistical Analysis of AMC Accident Frequency Rates.

Abstract

The objective of the research is the investigation of the correlation of month, day, time of the day, age group and sex with accident frequency. This was done by using analysis of variance. One-way and two-way analyses of variance were employed to determine if there is a significant effect due to each variable and combination of variables. Also the interaction between the variables was tested. Day, time of day, sex and age group are found to have a significant effect on the accident frequency. However, month is found to have no significant effect on the accident frequency.
