Scheduling Algorithm for the Metal Plating Facility at Red River Army Depot.

Abstract

This paper presents an approach to the investigation of the scheduling problem confronting the Metal Plating Facility at Red River Army Depot. The objective is to provide a scheduling algorithm which may be used to schedule jobs processed by the facility. The procedure followed in the investigation was to develop a computerized simulation model of the facility and schedule jobs through the model subject to a number of priority rules. GASP II simulation language was employed in the investigation.
