User's Guide for Six-Degree-of-Freedom Digital Computer Air Vehicle Simulation.

Abstract

This report is a user's manual for a NAVAIRDEVCEN (Naval Air Development Center) developed 6DOF (six-degree-of-freedom), air vehicle stability, performance, and control digital computer simulation. Included are descriptions of the coordinate systems, the aerodynamic, thrusting, and inertial forces and moments acting upon the vehicle, the equations of motion, and the atmosphere model. Discussions of such user oriented information as the selection and specification of run parameters, data implementation procedures, as well as a sample program listing with related flow charts are included.
