A NASTRAN Vibration Model of the AH-1G Helicopter Airframe. Volume 1

Abstract

This report documents a NASTRAN finite element model of the AH-1G helicopter airframe. The model was developed for the purpose of representing the low frequency vibration response of the airframe and the structure deflections due to weapon firing. The NASTRAN input data deck for the model is included in the documentation as well as a Normal Modes run on Level 15.1 of the program. The documentation is aimed at assuring that the government can independently use and modify the model to reflect actual or proposed changes in design. It is assumed that government personnel using this model and documentation have a good understanding of the NASTRAN computer program.
