A NASTRAN Vibration Model of the AH-1G Helicopter Airframe. Volume 2

Abstract

This report documents a NASTRAN finite element model of the AH-1G helicopter airframe. The model was developed for the purpose of representing the low frequency vibration response of the airframe and the structure deflections due to weapon firing. The nastran input data deck for the model is included in the documentation as well as a Normal Modes run on Level 15.1 of the program. The documentation consists mainly of drawings and sketches of the idealized NASTRAN model with supporting instructions. In addition, the actual structure is identified and the idealization of the structure as a finite element model is explained. The NASTRAN input data deck serves as a major portion of the documentation.
