Preparation of an Antigen from R. Tsutsugamushi Grown in Tissue Cultures,

Abstract

L cell and chicken fibroblast cell cultures with abundant accumulation of Tsutsugamushi rickettsia may be used as initial material for preparation of a soluble antigen. Specificity of the antigen from such rickettsia was confirmed in the complement-binding reaction.
