Airframe/Propulsion Interference

Abstract

Proceedings are presented of the Fluid Dynamics Panel Symposium held in Rome, Italy, 3-6 September 1974. Included are twenty-seven papers and round table discussion dealing with 'Air Intakes and Airframe Inlet Interactions', 'Nozzle/Aftbody Flow Fields and Airframe Interference', 'Windtunnel Testing and Correlation with Flight Test' and 'Integration Design and Accounting Procedures'. Symposium objectives were updating of research information on airframe/propulsion interference effects, discussion in relation to the practical problems in design of combat and transport aircraft, and identification of gaps in present knowledge.
