Primary Irritation Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellents.
Abstract
AI3-33513-bGc, AI3-33516-aGb and AI3-33517-aGc (US Government Proprietary compounds) which are candidate insect repellents proposed for use by the Army, were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin irritation. The data obtained serve as a basis for making a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds.
