Electromagnetic Direction Finding Techniques

Abstract

The report summarizes research and development addressed to the problem of electromagnetic direction finding in the UHF frequency range. Both theoretical and experimental investigations are described under three topical headings. These include the analysis of slot antennas on a conducting cylinder, the hardware development of a T-bar fed slot antenna, and the computer aided design of a lossy wire (distributively loaded) circular array. The report concludes with recommendations for future investigations and hardware development.
