Evaluation of Charcoal Sampling Tubes.

Abstract

Charcoal sampling tubes were constructed and compared with commercial charcoal tubes. Side by side samples were taken using the t-paired statistic. Other comparisons such as pressure drop across the tubes, ease of handling and cost were made with no significant differences being noted. Recovery efficiencies for solvents were determined. A brief discussion of moisture adsorption of charcoal tubes is included. Two methods of establishing known vapor concentrations are discussed.
