Gasdynamic Lasers: Theory Experiment and the State of the Art

Abstract

A set of lecture notes is presented for use in a course on Gasdynamic Lasers. The subject matter includes Physics considerations, calculation of gasdynamic laser performance, comparison between theory and experiment, optical cavity considerations and fluid-dynamic problems. The approach is to present the basic physics and aerodynamics leading to actual ability to design a gasdynamic laser.
