Investigation of Material Damage: Interactions of TEA Laser Radiation With Surfaces.

Abstract

This report describes three specific measurements involving interaction of a TEA CO2 laser beam with absorbing surfaces: (1) Impulse transmitted to the target; (2) Change of reflectivity of the target; (3) A mass spectrometric experiment to determine the energy spectrum of ions in the blowoff material.
