A Technique for Mapping Aircraft Stability Boundaries

Abstract

This study presents a method for determining the effect that variations in design parameters may have on the transient response characteristics of a system of differential equations. The effects of single design parameter variations are described using a modified root locus technique. Simultaneous variations of two or three parameters are described using stability region maps.
