One-Dimensional Blast Wave Propagation.

Abstract

A series of experiments is reported on one-dimensional blast wave propagation in steel tubes (with diameters of 5 and 20 cm respectively), in a concrete tube (with a diameter of 80 cm), and in rock (with an effective diameter of 600 cm) with pressures ranging from 0.005 to 70 bar. The blast wave originates from the detonation of TNT charges placed in the center of tubes/tunnel.
