Postattack Resource Management.

Abstract

The Runout Production Evaluation (ROPE) Model has been expanded to handle a 173-sector input-output model of the US economy in the first 90 days following a nuclear attack. The increased number of sectors permits greater accuracy in the assignment of sectors to priority classifications and improves the model's ability to identify bottlenecks in interindustry flows, when necessary inputs are in short supply. Also, the addition of a manpower constraint permits the assessment of shortages of labor inputs or output.
