Ambiguity Function Measurement.

Abstract

It is shown that the magnitude of the ambiguity function can be easily displayed on a spectrum analyzer. The technique employs delay lines operating only on the modulation waveform. Examples of measured ambiguity functions are given for FM by noise and by sine waves. These results are shown to be in agreement with theory.
