The WAVE32 Program.
Abstract
The purpose of WAVE32 is to provide a sea state record which can be accessed by MLDZOOM to model mechanical mixing effects in the upper layer of the Mediterranean Sea. It produces an analysis of wave height (sea) using a modified geostrophic wind derived from a local pressure analysis. The wave height field is stored on tape for use by MLDZOOM, another program in the package. Other analysis fields produced by WAVE32 are wind direction, wind speed, and wave period.
