Deterministic Differential Games,

Abstract

The optimality theory of Pontryagin is generalized to the deterministic two-player zero-sum differential games. It gives, for each value of the performance index, a systematic way to build the 'separatrix', i.e., the set lying between region of the playing space corresponding to larger performance indices. As for the optimality theory itself, its present generalization gives only necessary conditions. It is sometimes insufficient to the first order, and it has to be improved.
