Electric Field Rocket Program.

Abstract

This report describes a program to pursue research in the area of atmospheric electric field measurements on board a sounding rocket. The effort represents a continuation of an earlier program carried out under contract AF 19628-6132 during 1971 and 1972. A major difference in the two programs has been the change from a hinged type boom system deployed from a spinning rocket to a motor driven Stacer type (unfurlable) system. Changes in the electronics were also accomplished during the program. This report includes descriptive material and the pertinent documentation for the period July 1973 through February 1975.
