Near Field Accelerometer Array

Abstract

The report outlines the accomplishments during the two and one half years of the Grant. A portable near-field accelerometer array consisting of 9 stations was developed and installed in the Stone Canyon-Bear Valley region of central California. A detailed study was made of the seismicity in this region. Fault plane solutions of over 150 earthquakes were studied. Three earthquakes were studied in detail and some interesting patterns in P and S corner frequencies in the near field were revealed.
