Hypersonic Aerodynamics.

Abstract

The Gas Dynamics Laboratory of the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Sciences of Princeton University has performed research in experimental and theoretical hypersonic aerodynamics supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. The two areas considered under this study were: (a) Basic hypersonic boundary layer characteristics and (b) Studies of separated flows over cavities. Some considerable progress has been made in these areas. The results obtained during the year are briefly outlined in the following sections. A listing of publications made during the contract period is given in the Appendix.
