The Study of Molecules and Crystals by Light-Scattering Spectroscopy.

Abstract

This final report summarizes all work accomplished under the contract entitled 'The Study of Molecules and Crystals by Light-Scattering Spectroscopy.' The authors measured the light-scattering line shape of the soft E polariton mode (the 'ferroelectric mode') in tetragonal BaTiO3 as a function of the magnitude of the momentum of the polaritons. Other polariton studies were also done.
