A Scale for High Earners.

Abstract

A scale has been developed for high versus low earning personnel with MBA degrees based on item analysis. The earnings criterion was self-reported earnings at five years out of school. In the combined classes of 1962, 1963, 1964, and 1965, those in the highest third of the class in earnings were contrasted with those in the bottom third. Men in the middle third were omitted from this analysis. Item analyses were made of the items from the Strong Vocational Interest Blank, Guilford-Zimmerman Temperament Survey, Individual Background Survey and Ghiselli's Self-Description Inventory. N was 390.
