Atmospheric Attenuation of Microwave Satellite Links,

Abstract

This report describes an attempt to establish statistics for atmospheric attenuation of microwave links involving satellites. Information obtained from a literature survey has been used to derive curves giving the estimated percentage of a year for which a given attenuation is exceeded, for typical temperature and tropical climates.
