Word Processing and RDT and E, Navy Justification Documents within the Navy.
Abstract
The question is asked what are the alternative methods of production (transcribing) for the Congressional Supporting Data Books, the Master Information Papers (MINI-MIPS) and the Senate Appropriations Committee (SAC) Fact Sheets within the Department of the Navy. The CY1975 documents are studied for content, volume and data block size. It is concluded that a word processing system should be installed within the Office of the Director, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (OP-098). It is recommended that installation be in a two phase process. Phase I would be Stand Alone CRT Text Editors, with a feasibility study conducted prior to Phase II implementation of a Shared Logic word processing system. (Author)
