Technology Transfer/A Case Study: Target Strength

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to create a coherent picture of acoustic scattering from obstacles based on the important and current knowledge of the subject. The report is meant to be step one in a two step process. The second step will be the design and construction of a learning package for the rapid and effective communication of the critical knowledge found mainly in this report. The subject, acoustic scattering, was chosen because of its pertinence in undersea warfare.
