The Organization and the Person.
Abstract
The project has been concerned with two central issues: (1) What factors affect the attachment of employees to their work and work organization, and (2) what are the consequences of attachment or the lack of it. The authors investigated the nature of the individual-organizational linkages. In so doing, they have focused on both the attitudinal and behavioral aspects of this linkage -- how employees feel about themselves, their jobs, their work and their organizations; and what kinds of work behavior they exhibit in the job situation.
