Development Testing of Free Planet Transmission Concept

Abstract

This report presents the results of an experimental program to further demonstrate and evaluate the Curtiss-Wright free planet power transmission concept. The program consisted of experimentally evaluating the effect of increased gear mesh backlash, cyclic endurance, and transients.
