An Investigation of the Effect of Processing Parameters on the Reaction Sintering of Silicon Nitride.

Abstract

The major objective of this research has been to conduct a detailed and systematic study of the effect of processing parameters on microstructure and the effect of well characterized microstructural morphology on the bulk properties of reaction bonded silicon nitride. Not only the desirable microconstituents, but also the undesirable ones have been studied in order to establish the above relationships.
