Enlisted Skill Ratings, Draft Motivation and the Decision to Reenlist.

Abstract

The predictability of reenlistment intention by organizational experiences was tested for the cells of a draft motivation by enlisted ratings matrix. Organizational experiences were related to reenlistment intention for true volunteers. These relationships were stable regardless of the expense required to attain the ratings. Very little variance was found on the dependent variable for choice motivated and draft avoidant Navymen.
