Exact Sequential Methods for the Comparison of Two Medical Treatments.

Abstract

In considering two medical treatments A and B, an attempt is made to determine whether treatment A is better, equal to, or poorer than treatment B. Subjects are paired. The same problem occurs whenever two methods of treatment are compared in industry, education, clinical trials, testing of drugs, or in the sciences.
