Corrections: Perspectives on Research, Policy and Impact

Abstract

The report summarizes the proceedings of the Third Annual Conference on Corrections in the U.S. Military, sponsored by the Office of Naval Research and Held June 6-7, 1974 at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, Stanford, California. Conferees included ONR officials, Naval personnel involved in correctional research and administration of correctional programs, social scientists whose research is supported by ONR and several consultants. The central purpose of this conference was to examine the relationship of research programs to policy decisions and their impact on correctional systems.
