International Conference on Composite Materials Held in Geneva, Switzerland in April 1975.

Abstract

The conference, the first international meeting on this subject, brought together technical people from all over the world to discuss the past, present and future of composite materials. This report covers the European sessions of a back-to-back conference, the other meeting being held in Boston, MA three days later. Sessions covered: The Problems and Challenges of Composite Materials; Advances in Filaments, Fibers, and Whiskers; Advanced Polymer Matrix Composites; Advanced Metal Matrix Composites; Mechanical and Physical Properties; Designing for Structural Application of Composite Materials; Fabrication-Methods and Evaluation; Testing of Composite Materials; Application to Construction Transportation and Communication.
